Would you like to feel more confident in supporting people with mental health needs?

Community Pharmacy Lancashire is working in partnership with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust to increase awareness in mental health teams of the services that community pharmacy can provide to the many people in our communities with mental health problems. At the same time, pharmacy teams are being supported and encouraged to consider how they might best meet the needs of this patient group.

The workshops are open to all members of the pharmacy team and will cover:

•Increasing your confidence in consultation skills, with a specific emphasis on people with mental health problems

•Information on the availability of psychological services in primary care and the important role that pharmacy teams can play in signposting people into services

•Understand how pharmacy services can improve the physical and mental health of people with mental illness resulting in improved health outcomes

•Information on an innovative scheme “Think Pharmacy” that will involve mental health professionals actively signposting patients to community pharmacy for provision of contracted services

Hot food served 6pm. Meeting 6.45pm - 9.30pm
